Shapes is a chair designed to express the basic shapes, square, triangle and circle. This piece is intended to represent sculptural elements in the home. We chose the triangular shape to serve as the seat for Shapes. The angular seat amplifies the elongation of the design especially because it comes to a point ahead of the circle backrest. This aesthetic design is made to stand out but is also surprisingly comfortable. At By Pizarro we like to play with shapes and form to create unique chairs. Shapes' features a stainless steel structure welded together to support wooden slabs. We joined the wood together through dado cuts to ensure structural integrity. The products structure is fundamental to us because our products are made to last. The construction works hand in hand with human factors measurements. The backrest is placed precisely where an adult needs back supports. The circular backrest is a simple design solution for improper posture. The lower back is left untouched while the upper back has a comfortable rest. The seat width creates a spacious lounge and affords relaxation in multiple positions.
Shapes chair was manufactured with the same materials but altered through various stain processes. The stainless structure was very durable and safe because of its exaggerated dimensions. The wood is joined with biscuits and then later cut to form the triangular seat shape. By Pizarro ensures structural integrity joins together multiple types of materials to create a robust product.
