Lever is a coffee inspired by architectural buildings. We particularly liked the significant amount of usage of concrete and glass used in structures. We chose to use the same materials to increase its tactile and visual feedback. Concrete adds a rough detail in contrast to a smooth glass surface. Design is meant to be beautiful and respond well to its environment. We love that Lever can work with different home styles and give a tactile response. The coffee table features a glass cantilever that rests within the concrete structure. We created a concrete mixture that allows the concrete to crack naturally before sealing it. We like to give materials to express themselves. At By Pizarro we play with different design and engineering philosophies to create original designs.
