Domus is a dressing table that has its history in the furniture design sector. A dressing table is a small table with one or two rows of drawers and classically has ornamental embellishes and a small stool to pair with it. We like the idea of creating furniture that has classic applications. We find that most do their make-up in the bathroom, which goes away from the peace it brings when one can sit calmly and apply make-up. We designed this stool to have an Art Nouveau design style. This design has inspirations that stem by forms in nature and how nature has its own structural elements. We particularly love that this style has a lot of curved lines that reflect directly back to plants and flowers. We chose our decorative features to have this kind of curvature and used it as a structural element, just as nature does. We use solid wood to create the overall structure and use the curvature features on the side to act as a bridge support system. Typically when furniture is this tall and skinny, it is unstable, but with the side applications, this unique dressing table can hold many personal items. The color material and finish of the item includes solid wood and stainless steel with a custom copper plating. We have a lot of experience with finishing products to reflect its design style and do so in ways that are easily manufacturable.
