Deco Coffee Table

The Deco coffee table represents what its name suggests. It is a representation of the art deco movement and plays with color, material and finish to exaggerate its form. The coffee table is made up of three parts, marble, brass and glass. The brass ornament is designed to enhance the architectural cutouts of the coffee table while the marble accepts its ornamental features. We used a thick glass to join the marble and brass forms to create a multilevel countertop. Deco is a design style that has its unique tastes. Unlike other By Pizarro designs, Deco attracts a specific type of interior design style. The construction of Deco is straightforward and intuitive. There are structural cut-outs inside of the marble to allow the glass to rest. The glass creates a seamless effect to touch and is structurally help with silicone reinforcements. This piece is perfect for a home with detailed features and a warm environment.

Deco is made from marble, brass and glass, materials that are made to last. The primary material, marble adds a lot of weight but is elegant in how it forms a structure.

Brass

The brass serves as an ornamental piece with the marble. It enhances the art deco design philosophy of pattern.

Marble

Marble is the dominant material in this design. Its structural and earthy associations give a feeling of warmth and cleanliness.

Glass

The glass rests inside of marble insets. It was the material of choice for this coffee table due to its unobtrusiveness to a heavy form language.

CONSTRUCTION

The marble is designed, cut and finished to lay the brass and glass within it seamlessly. The dimensions of the piece are a bit wider than conventional coffee tables due to its design approach. The marble is so predominant and roman-like that a simple cut glass was the perfect material to lay inside of its form. Each cut on the marble is siple to manufacture and easily produces at mass scale.
