Citizen Smith was a bar restaurant in the heart of Hollywood that featured private rooms and visceral experiences. Citizen Smith has a featured spread in a magazine called LA Is The Place. The article described the bar as dimly lit and, "filled with stylish crowd and latest sounds. The atmosphere is warm and hip, very unique and designed for a great celebrity getaway. The “in” crowd [has] private booths where they won’t be bothered or seen." Citizen Smith was one of the most significant hang-out spots in the Los Angeles area with frequent celebrity guests. By Pizarro manufactured, sourced materials for the entire project and co-designed the space with other design partners hired by the owner. We love to collaborate with other designers because it enhances the uniqueness of the design. At By Pizarro we try to keep a universal design style; however, Citizen Smith had a vibe that was new with a twist of baroque aesthetic. We loved exploring an original style that is not frequently requested. We take our manufacturing capabilities very seriously. From efficient building techniques in the early millwork stage to the final construction of the space we make sure our clients are beyond fulfilled. We value that our design is going to be used on a large scale and make sure the durability lives up to that amount of use.
