Spiral the coffee table is a slick and modern design made of glass. The spiral coffee table flows like water and adapts to its environment through its transparent appearance. This design has a unique shape because of its asymmetrical form as it plays with the visual perspective. We like to play with an asymmetrical design because it is more complex to pull off but when it is done the design stands-out correctly in a subtle way. The legs of the coffee table are just slightly different in directionality creating a unique form. We chose a thick glass to accentuates the design language and give people a visual confirmation of the product's existence in space. The thick glass is a unique material and bends at higher heating levels than a thinner glass. We created a form to bend the glass more efficiently for an efficient production run.
