C Chair

C Chair was designed to be both a statement piece placed with modern reading light or surrounding an extra-large dinner table. C chair supports weight through its stainless heavy steel structure but maintains a sense of breathing room with its airy and floating characteristics. At By Pizarro we like to create products that float and give way for the air to flow through it. C chair cantilevers over its structure and tells a story with movement. The chair is flexible and durable enough to withstand a slow back and forth rock giving people a sensation of relaxation even with such a modern and clean aesthetic. The construction of the chair has nothing to hide giving it room for beautiful color, material, and finish exploration. The CMF includes exposed stitching, leather and wire supports. The materials work together and uniquely express themselves while also standing-out through a carefully structured design.

The C chair features a stainless steel structure a leather cushion. They harmoniously work together through leather connected systems on the stainless.

Stainless Steel

The stainless steel wire is a structurally sound method that has immense design statement. The wires are carefully arrayed and later tac welded onto its thicker parent steel structure. Steel plates are used to reinforce the attachments.

Cushion

We used a rustic and aged leather to create a visual material imbalance, new and old. The stitching and details used on the material are the materials that unify to the stainless steel aesthetic.

CONSTRUCTION

The construction of the chair creates a sensational back and forth rock. We love tactile and physical sensations and feel the designs playfulness.The tactile sensations on the chair work together, the leather is softer while the steel is rigid, cold to the touch. The C chair is unique in construction because of its u-shaped structure and steel wire reinforcements. The plates along the wire mesh provide a strong connection but also provide an aesthetic solution for uniting the cushion to the steel.
