Blink Stool is a custom design for an exceptional client opening a brewery in California called Blinking Owl Distillery. The owners of the location wanted to create a modern approach and organic choice of color material and finish. We designed this stools to give the Blinking Owl Distillery a way to express itself to its surrounding environment. As a team, we were inspired by the Barcelona chair in how a simple form can utilize small detail in genuine leather. From the exposed stitching to the reflections shown on the base of the chair, we kept every design detail in mind. We decided to use genuine black leather, stainless steel structure, and a dark grey stitching. After choosing the correct CMF, we developed its framework out of stainless steel. At By Pizarro we dont leave any functional element as an afterthought. We incorporate the footrest into the structure and unify it with design. When one sits on this stool, it appears as if they are floating. We are driven by creating designs that do not disturb a space visually and instead give way to take in a cooperative space.
